Fix My Laptop absorbs Upgrades Express.

It is with a tinge of sadness that I advise that as of 1st July 2011 Upgrades Express has ceased trading and that Fix My Laptop will take over its past activities, obligations and clients.

Upgrades Express began in 1994 with the upgrading of XT's, 286's and 386's. Common upgrades were adding more 30 pin ram, a bigger hard drive, from 20mb to 40mb, or adding a graphics card, etc. The operating systems were Dos 6.22 and Windows was version 3.11. Many many thousands of upgrades and repairs later we get to now.

To my past employees I want to thank you; Todd Wilkes (deceased), Ashley Schloss, Virgil "the chips are good today", Haydn Gerkin, Anthony Heibloem, Madelyn, Megan Troth, Margus, Vincent, John, Alex, Vivienne Whittaker, Jonathan Lincoln, Joe Sales, Tim Heibloem, Aaron Nightingale, and others who I probably have forgotten - it was fun, thank you.

To my many loyal clients many who now deal with Ashley at As Quick I also thank you. In 17 years I turned over around $10,000,000. Not bad for a small business. To my suppliers who have become like friends a special thank you.

My current passion, Fix My Laptop continues  to grow with our Gold Coast repair centre now open and running well. Thanks are also warranted for our current team; Tim, York, Evo, Lance, Amanda, Irene, Jess, Angela, Daniel and Chris. Plans are under way for a fourth location, GFC, carbon-tax,  and difficult trading conditions notwithstanding. Watch this space.
