Saturday Open Day for Samoan Community & Runik Customers 

In October Fix My Laptop was invited to assist with fund-raising and donated labour to help the local Brisbane Samoan community respond to the devastation of the tsunami that had hit Samoa recently.

Fix My Laptop at Windor has donated 5 Dell Latitude D610 laptops to be taken to Africa to be donated to an orphange in Pertoria. These orphans and vunerable children have very little in the way of computers so the donation will  be very well received. Through its Director, Irene Heibloem, the laptops will be hand delivered in the week of October 23rd~30th 2009.

When we started Fix My Laptop in early 2006 we had in mind to become a leader in non-warranty laptop repairs. Having been in the industry since the early 1990's we had identified real problems in having laptops repaired promptly and cost effectively. Unable to find a solution for ourselves we decided to become the solution....

Vista Out - Windows 7 In

With Microsoft finally admitting defeat with Vista and admitting that Windows Vista will never be adopted by contented XP Professional business users, it appears that we can turn our attention to the next Windows client release, Windows 7. It's Windows 7 because presumably it's the 7^th incarnation of Windows.

We have recently added netbook 8.9" LCD screens and 15.6" wxga and 16" wxga LCD's to suit the newest  model laptops. If you have a newer model laptop and you damage your screen we'll have the parts you need.

1. Diagnostic Responsibility. If you buy the parts you assume the responsibility for the diagnosis. Regardless of how good you are, you can't always be right. I spoke today to a repairer who had a Compaq laptop with a "punched in" screen.
